Just like the original ADA Amazonia the Amazonia II is a great soil to use for aqua scaping. The Version 2 includes the additional supplement pack.
The Amazonia II has the same look as the original Amazonia only the main difference is the new Amazonia II has a slower release of nutrient and is baked better giving a stronger soil pellet that will not break down as quick. It also had the additional nutrient pack to that you can choose to add.
Aqua Soil - Amazonia is an idea substrate material for Nature Aquarium. With this product, you can easily re-create a natural environment where aquatic plants grow rapidly and fish and invertebrates live a healthy life. It contains plenty of organic acids and nutrients which encourage plants root growth, and provides a perfect substrate system for aquatic plants when used with ADA’s POWER SAND. Its powder type performs effectively when used in small-size aquariums or spread in a thin layer over the normal type Amazonia.
Most plants exit by spreading their roots inside the earth. This is to sustain its body and also to absorb nutrition from the soil. Many aquarists thought water plants grew better in soil, but it was not a good choice when considering the cloudiness of the water.
But we solved the problem of water cloudiness by baking the soil in granule with high temperature, and made a hard-to-crumble character Aqua Soil series.
